Australia Day 2026 was commemorated on 23rd January 2026 from 6.00 PM onwards at the Residence of the Australian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka. The official reception was hosted by His Excellency Matthew Duckworth, Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, and was attended by a distinguished assembly comprising ministers, the Leader of the Opposition, ambassadors, and senior officials.
