Visakha Vidyalaya Media Day 2025 was held on the 24th of October from 2.00 p.m. onwards at the Jeremias Dias Hall of Visakha Vidyalaya. The event was organized in honour of Prof. Sunanda Mahendra, a pioneer in introducing Communication and Media Studies to Sri Lankan university education. Prof. Ariyaratne Athugala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Sunanda Mahendra attended as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony celebrated the significance of media education and its profound impact on shaping informed and responsible communication in society.
