The Inaugural BC Netball Carnival ’26 – A Celebration of 150 Years of Sporting Legacy

The Inaugural BC Netball Carnival, organized in celebration of 150 years of sporting legacy of Bishop’s College Colombo, was held on 14th March 2026 from 8.00 a.m. onwards at the Bishop’s College Grounds. The event brought together young netballers from several leading schools, creating a spirited and competitive atmosphere while promoting sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Participating schools included Methodist College Colombo, St. Lawrence’s Convent Colombo, Good Shepherd Convent Colombo, Wycherley International School, St. Clare’s Girls’ School Colombo, Muslim Ladies’ College Colombo, Stafford International School, and Colombo International School, alongside the host team from Bishop’s College.

After a series of exciting matches showcasing the skill and determination of the players, Bishop’s College emerged victorious in both the Under-16 and Under-19 categories, crowning a successful day for the hosts. The carnival stood as a fitting tribute to the school’s long-standing sporting tradition while nurturing the next generation of netball talent.
