The Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebrations of Visakha Vidyalaya were held on the 9th of April 2026 from 9.00 a.m. onwards at the school premises, bringing together the principal, teachers, and students in a vibrant display of tradition and culture. Dressed in elegant Avurudu attire, the students actively participated in a range of customary New Year rituals and games, creating a festive atmosphere filled with joy, unity, and cultural pride. The event beautifully reflected the rich heritage of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year while fostering a sense of togetherness within the school community.
