Thineth Soorya Mangalyaya 2026, the Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebration organized by Thineth Higher Educational Institutes, was successfully held on 11th April 2026 from 8.00 a.m. onwards at the Buddhadasa Grounds in Battaramulla. The event was graced by popular actress Dusheni Miyurangi as the Chief Guest.
The celebration featured a lively lineup of traditional Awurudu games, cultural dance performances, and festive activities, with students dressed in vibrant traditional attire adding colour and charm to the occasion. Students, teachers, and lecturers came together to enjoy a joyful and memorable day filled with the true spirit of the New Year.
