Innovatex 2026, the flagship ICT initiative of the Information Technology Society of Visakha Vidyalaya, brought together innovation, creativity and technology in a dynamic showcase of student-led IoT and smart technology projects.
The exhibition featured competitive student creations spanning robotics, smart technologies, hardware innovation and software development, demonstrating the growing role of digital technology in solving real-world challenges.
The event was organised by the 2025/2026 IT Society Board, led by President Ranudi Chandrasiri and Secretary Sasithma Basnayake, under the guidance of Teacher-in-Charge Ms. W.M.A.E. Wijesundera.
Prof. Nalin Karunasinghe, Founder and Managing Director of E-Net Solutions and an award-winning inventor who was part of the pioneering team that introduced the internet to Sri Lanka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Continuing Visakha Vidyalaya’s longstanding legacy of major technology initiatives, Innovatex 2026 provided a platform for the next generation of innovators to explore, create and showcase their vision for the future.
