The first session of the Student Parliament of Visakha Vidyalaya for the 2026/2027 term was convened on 30 July 2026 from 2.00 p.m. onwards at the school’s Old Hall Premises. Presided over by the Honourable Speaker together with the General Secretary, Madam Principal, the inaugural sitting officially marked the commencement of the new parliamentary term.
During the session, ministers representing the ten ministries presented their proposed plans and initiatives for the year ahead, outlining projects designed to strengthen student welfare, school development, and community engagement. The proposals were tabled under the leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister, reflecting the Student Parliament’s commitment to responsible leadership, collaboration, and effective governance.
The session also provided an opportunity for members to engage in constructive discussions, exchange ideas, and offer recommendations on the proposed initiatives. The successful inaugural sitting laid a strong foundation for the 2026/2027 parliamentary term, demonstrating the dedication of Visakha Vidyalaya’s student leaders to serving the school community through innovation, teamwork, and active participation.
