The Western and Oriental Choirs of Musaeus College presented “Island Rhythms”, an enchanting musical showcase celebrating the richness and diversity of Sri Lankan rhythms and melodies.
Held on the 10th of July 2026 from 4.00 p.m. onwards at the Peter De Abrew Auditorium, Musaeus College, the performance brought together the talents of young vocalists through a harmonious fusion of Western and Oriental choral traditions.
The production was led by Choir Director Soundarie David, with percussion training by renowned maestro Ravibandu Vidyapathi and musical arrangements by Dumindu Chulasinghe. The event showcased the dedication, discipline, and artistic excellence of the Musaeus College choirs, offering the audience an unforgettable journey through the island’s vibrant musical identity.
