
Musaeus College, Colombo, hosted Ceylora – Annual Commerce Day 2026 on 18 September 2026 at the Higgins Auditorium, bringing together students, educators, distinguished guests, and members of the school community for an afternoon celebrating commerce, creativity, and achievement.
Held under the theme “Culture to Cash,” Ceylora 2026 explored the journey from cultural values and creative expression to innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity. The programme featured vibrant dance and dramatic performances, showcasing the creativity, confidence, and talents of the college’s Commerce students.
The event also featured a series of intra-school competitions, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, teamwork, creativity, and competitive spirit. The Best Class Trophy was awarded to 13CE1, recognising their outstanding performance across the competitions.
Adding to the competitive spirit of the event, the 2026 Inter-School Commerce Competition champions were Royal College, who emerged as this year’s overall champions.
A key highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of the highest achievers of the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination, recognising their outstanding academic accomplishments, commitment, and dedication.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Rohantha Athukorala, a prominent figure in Sri Lanka’s tourism and business sectors and former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, who joined the celebrations and shared his insights with the students.
Ceylora 2026 served as a celebration of academic excellence, creativity, teamwork, and enterprise, highlighting the diverse talents of the Commerce students while reinforcing the importance of culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
