French Spring in Sri Lanka 2012

This June the 1st French Festival in cooperation with Sri Lanka's
Ministry of Culture and the Arts, the Embassy of France, the BMICH and the
support of 20 French and Sri Lankan institutions in France and Sri Lanka:
11 French artists, 67 Sri Lankan artists and more than 100 workshop
participants in Colombo, Kandy, Matara and Jaffna will be held.
Male' in the Maldives will also participate with a world music concert and master classes in oriental music. The French Spring in Sri Lanka will take place between the 15th and the 24th of June 2012 in the framework of the cooperation between Sri Lanka and France.
All the artistic events will be accessible to all in the BMICH: Free admission for the International Fête de la Musique, the Rock and world music concerts, the classical concert (Lionel Wendt), the contemporary dance shows and workshops, the art and sustainable architecture photo exhibitions including round tables and workshops, the crossed readings in 4 languages by Sri Lankan writers and the festival of francophone cinema for children and adults. A French gastronomy festival will be also proposed between 20th and 23rd of June by Mount Lavinia Hotel.
A world of exciting artistic events organized by the Alliance Française de Kotte, showing the strength and the dynamism of the amicable cooperation between our two countries. Ten days of culture and pleasure you should not miss!
