APIIT Surya Abhishekam 2026, the Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebration organized by the Student Activity Council of APIIT, was held on 23rd April 2026 from 11.00 a.m. onwards at Hyde Park Grounds, Colombo. The vibrant event featured the presence of popular actress Senali Fonseka, actress and model Damith Wijayathunga, and renowned makeup artist Viran Peter as chief guests. The highlight of the day was the crowning of the APIIT Awurudu Kumara and Awurudu Kumariya. The celebration was filled with traditional Avurudu games, cultural activities, and festive spirit, bringing together students for a memorable and joyous occasion.
