
After a decade of silence, the Sandeshaya Awards 2025 returned in grand style, organized by the Broadcasting Unit of Ananda College. The ceremony was held on 14 March 2026 from 2.00 p.m. onwards at the Kularatne Hall, celebrating excellence and creativity in student media. The prestigious event, themed “Resurrecting the Legacy of Media Excellence,” was graced by the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Harini Amarasuriya, as the Chief Guest.
The awards ceremony marked the revival of a long-standing tradition by the Ananda College Broadcasting Unit (ACBU), recognizing outstanding achievements in broadcasting, media production, and communication among young media enthusiasts.
The revival of the Sandeshaya Awards signified a renewed commitment by the Broadcasting Unit of Ananda College to nurture the next generation of media professionals while honoring a legacy that has inspired student journalism and broadcasting for years.
