Photography is an expansive art form that includes more than just portraiture, landscape or glamour photography. It has become an upcoming passion amongst the youth in current days. The Inter University Photography Competition & Exhibition “Image Fusion 2012” is a project organized by the Student Activity Club in order to showcase such talent for the first time in Sri Lanka.
This competition is an opportunity to such individuals to prove their talent by capturing themed moments. APIIT and other universities consist of many students, who have a fuelled desire towards photography but due to lack of opportunity they have failed to bring out their talents to the public.
The Student Activity Club has decided to take the competition to a higher level by organizing a photography exhibition at the end of the competition. The decision has been made by the professional development committee to put this photography on the exhibition as a representative of each university. As the main student body of APIIT we believe the exhibition will be an attention grabber within the university level of Sri Lanka and will inspire youngsters to start off photography as a hobby or a career.
Categories
Monochrome – Includes all forms of black-and-white photography, which produce images containing tones of grey ranging from black to white.
Nature & Wildlife - Includes nature, scenic beauty, wildlife, flora & fauna.
(Please note that the photos of domesticated, tamed or captive animals are not allowed)
Macro Photography - Includes close-up photography, usually of very small subjects.
Life Style – Includes different lifestyles, fashion and glamour, cultures & traditions.

Rules & Regulations
Any student currently affiliated (past students not allowed) with a Sri Lankan University (private & government) may participate in the competition.
You are allowed to submit photographs on all four categories.
Only three (3) entries can be submitted per category.
Applications and entries can be submitted along with the payments to the APIIT City Campus on the following days from 9.00am – 5.00pm (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
