Thames College the leader in Hospitality and Tourism Education in Sri Lanka held its Convocation for Tourism and Hospitality Management graduates on 18th of October 2016 at the Hilton Colombo Residences, Union Ballroom from 3PM onwards.
Thames College the leader in Hospitality and Tourism Education in Sri Lanka held its Convocation for Tourism and Hospitality Management graduates on 18th of October 2016 at the Hilton Colombo Residences, Union Ballroom from 3PM onwards.
The Chief Guest at the occasion was Honorable Minister Mohan Lal Grero the State Minister of Higher Education Sri Lanka. And the Guest of Honour was Mrs. Angela Hagenow the Academic Director of Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality United Kingdom (CTH-UK).
On this special occasion, Dr. Publis De Silva, Director of Culinary Affairs and Promotions at Mount Lavinia Hotel received an Honorary Fellowship by CTH-UK. Thames College has nominated his name to the CTH Academic Council by recognizing his 60 years of tremendous effort to create a Sri Lankan traditional food culture and taking Sri Lanka to the world on a silver platter of healthy delights.
Chairman of Thames College Dr. Priyantha Padmasiri, Managing Director of Thames College Mr. Chinthana Vithanage, Chief Executive Officer and Head of Academics of Thames College Ms. Sanju Dissanayake, special invitees, panel of lecturers, graduates, parents of graduates, Thames College student council members, and Thames College staff were presented at the occasion. Graduates of Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma programs were awarded by internationally recognized professional qualification from Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH-UK).
