Musaeus College hosted Dwara Spandanaya – Annual Arts Day 2026 on 25 September 2026 at the Higgins Auditorium, bringing together talented young artists and art students from leading schools across Colombo for an afternoon celebrating creativity, culture and achievement.
The event, which commenced at 2.00 p.m., featured a vibrant programme of singing, dancing and traditional drumming, showcasing the artistic talents and cultural expression of the participating students.
Dr. Saumya Liyanage, Professor in Drama and Theatre, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding significance to an event dedicated to nurturing and recognising the performing arts among young people.
The programme also recognised student achievements through the presentation of certificates to winners of the intra-school and inter-school competitions. Students who achieved outstanding results at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination were also felicitated for their academic accomplishments.
With the participation of art students from leading schools across Colombo, Dwara Spandanaya 2026 served as a platform for young talent to come together, celebrate the arts and share their creativity through performance and competition.
