The new 2017/ 2018 Junior Prefects' Guild of Visakha Vidyalaya was appointed at the Nelum Ceremony held on the 18th of May 2017 at the Jeramias Dias Hall.

Students with proper decorum, sport and academic achievements and a responsible character which can shoulder the role of a leader, were selected as the new student leaders of Visakha Vidyalaya. The newly elected Prefects received their badges of the highest position within the student body, by the hands of the Principal Madam Sandamali Aviruppola.

The Nelum Ceremony was very well beautifully organized by Visakha Vidyalaya, and the Visakhians receiving the Prefects appointments were grandly honoured. The ceremony gifted the Prefects a charming experience that will prolong to last throughout their life, within their most precious school memories.

The accomplishment of the Prefects' Guild proved the students of Visakha Vidyalaya that anyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about their goal.
