The annual Inter House Sports Meet of Visakha Vidyalaya was held on the 30th of January 2018 at St.Peter's College grounds with the participation of the young Visakhians.
The annual Inter House Sports Meet of Visakha Vidyalaya was held on the 30th of January 2018 at St.Peter's College grounds with the participation of the young Visakhians.
Vishakha Vidyalaya sports meet was graced by the presence of the Director of Sports, Ministry of Education Col. Manjula Kariyawasam as the chief guest. The Chief Guest Director of Sports was able to witness the active participation and the brilliant skills of the Visakhians in sports. The sports meet was successfully organized by the guidance of Madam Principal Sandamali Aviruppola and the management of the Deputy Principal Extra Curricular Activities and Games Mrs Anusha Damayanthi.
It was the day of the grand meet which decided the champion house for 2018, therefore the girls made sure to excel with their fullest might and skill in all athletic activities in order to win the house.The annual meet not only encouraged the students into sports and games but also persuaded them to work hard and strive, for it is constant practice which makes a winner.
Sports which teach young students character and discipline also molds the individuals to handle both victory and loss. As House Dawes celebrated the triumph of becoming the champions of Visakha Vidyalaya Annual Sportsmeet 2018 by a whopping score of 393, House Motwani and House Pulimood followed to secure the second and third position with a scores of 368 and 344.
