The Royal Thomian Cricket Match, more commonly known as the Battle of the Blues, is the world's longest, uninterrupted inter - school cricket encounter. The 135th encounter played on the 13th, 14th and 15th of March 2014 at the SSC grounds.

The Thomian Tent Committee organized the annual Thomian Cycle Parade on the 12th of March 2014 which commenced from the College Small Club Grounds and proceeded along the Galle Road.
