Year twenty-seventeen lacked no entertainment for music loving Sri Lankans. Yet all were anticipated to be revolutionized by the much awaited 15th edition of Colombo’s favourite concert “Revolution of Sounds” which was held in aid of the Lower School Building of St.Thomas’ College, Mt.Lavinia.

The Atmosphere of the Stein Studio, Rathmalana was vibrating to the top tempo beats of the Revolution of Sounds that amused the feverish fans of fast tracks pervaded by percussions and the smooth soft melodies; on the 8th April 2017 the month of festivals. It was mainly sponsored by its Platinum sponsor Mt.Lavinia Hotel and other sponsors such as Next Campus and LOLC Finance alongside with Xtream Youth as its Online Media and Photography Partner.

REVO has always been an arena where veterans and amateurs enacted on the same floor. This year too, REVO XV ignited with the juxtaposition of the galaxy of veterans, amateurs and upcoming artists. REVO XV presented SELECTRO a DJ straight from world’s largest musical festival Tomorrowland to intoxicate the audience by the best electronic music. Special guest No2# was the band which had a song for every situation of a youngster’s life: Daddy, with their legendary collection. Voice Print lit the dance flow with their enchanting cappella melodies and their original best hits.

After auditioning dozens of vocalists for REVO’s Voice Off, five finalists were chosen to perform at REVO XV, where the best of the best would become the winner of Voice Off’2017 from the votes of the spectators. The melancholy voices of the five competitors Thishakya Gamage of Asian International School, Ama Jayasinghe of Visakha Vidyalaya, Supeshala Colombathanthri of Musaeus College, Shania Kiyn from Bishop’s College and Sanjula Botejue from Ladies’ College saturated the audience. With the majority votes of the audience, Shania Kiyn of Bishop’s College won Voice Off’2017.

Hats Off to the Interact Club of St.Thomas’ College, the organizing committee of REVO XV for once again creating the greatest musical memories of all time.
