The 44th Limited Over Cricket Encounter of the Battle of the Saints was held on the 24th of March 2018 at the SSC Grounds amidst the school cheers of a large number of supporters from both schools of St. Joseph's College and St. Peter's College.

The two cricket teams were escorted to the SSC Grounds by a vehicle parade featuring high end vehicles decorated in colours of blue and white and blue, white and gold. The parades filled with excitement and joy, beautified the streets with school colours of both while the Papare tunes of the boys made the spectators join in the party for a dance.

The Limited Over Cricket Encounter began with a powerful start as the players took over the SSC Grounds, Colombo.The supporting cheers given by either crowds at the pavilion boosted the energetic players and the two teams played skillfully, giving their fellow opponent a good game. After a tough struggle between the scores, St. Joseph's College succeeded in becoming the champions of the 44th Limited Over Cricket Encounter of the Battle of the Saints. The peterites too, joined in with the celebration, congratulating the St. Joseph's College victory, showcasing the time- honoured brotherhood within St. Joseph's College and St. Peter's College.
