The Prefects Sixes Softball Cricket Tournament is organized by the Royal College Prefects' Council was revived after its last appearance in 2010 with the aim of bringing together the student leaders of Colombo Schools in a fun filled day of sports and team work.

The event was held on the 6th of July at the Royal College Junior Grounds and featured five boys' (Ananda, Nalanda, Isipathana, Mahanama and Wycherley) and five girls' (Bishop's, Ladies', Visakha, Methodist and Musaues) teams.

While the tournament went on in a typical 6 a side cricket tournament, there was also a chance for one of the losing teams of the first round to make it to the semi-finals by participating in three team games that were held around the premises.

The event was quite a success, with all the teams having a fun filled day, learning to push their boundaries as a team. Mahanama College and Bishop's College emerged as the champions of boys' category and girls' category respectively. The event ended with an exhibition game between the Top Board of the Royal College Prefects' Council and the members of the Organizing Committee.

The event was sponsored by CIMA and CINEC Campus. Games and Teams were sponsored by APIIT. And the co-sponsors were Aitken Spense and Maliban.
