A night of surprises it was with the revealing of the winners of the awards chosen from the highest votes received within the school. Going beyond the conventional Prom Queen awards, the OSCars were lighted with unique award segments. Most likely to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse was won by Yuval while Most likely to be in the Olympics was won by Lukas. There were Oscar and Grammy winners, with most likely to win an Oscar and a Grammy awards going to Senali and Anjulie. Maya won the best dressed female while Virath was nominated as the Best dressed male. Cutest Couple awardees were Adrian and Anjulie and the Best Best-Friends award went to Aamir and Shenali in the Couple Superlative awards.

The OSCars prom was a night to award not only students, but also the teachers. Teacher Superlative awards were Deadliest to Disappoint, Most fun to be stuck in Detention with, Most likely to Kick you out of Class, Most Inspiring and Most Likely to fail you with a Smile were won by Mrs. A, Mrs. Lenk, Mr. Vargas, Mr. Pradeep and Mr. Rossberg respectively.

OSCars was organized spectacularly. The hall beautified with delicate decorations, stucco masquerade half-masks of gold and silver and toothsome luscious food while euphonious musicals dancing away the night. The students of Overseas School in Colombo managed to bring the vigour and zest into the brand new hotel of Mövenpick, boosting the energy off a tiresome Saturday.

The eve which went on till the clocks ticked midnight was indeed the most monumental OSCars as promised by the organizers of the Student Government Associations, who struggled their sweat off to make the annual prom of 2017 an amazeball.
