The Sri Lanka Unites Chapters of Trinity College, Kandy and Ladies’ College, Colombo kick started the holiday season by presenting “Vibrance 2017” on the 9th of December 2017 at Havelock Grounds from 4.30pm onwards.
The Sri Lanka Unites Chapters of Trinity College, Kandy and Ladies’ College, Colombo kick started the holiday season by presenting “Vibrance 2017” on the 9th of December 2017 at Havelock Grounds from 4.30pm onwards.
Vibrance 2017 was organized as a joint charity project by the two renowned schools and was comprised of a Charity Run followed by a vibrant carnival. The proceedings of both events were donated for the renovation and provision of computers for a rural school in Elpitiya which provide education for over 200 under privileged students in the area.
The charity run of 2.5 km around the Havelock Grounds was in high spirit with the participation of a large crowd of athletes and fitness fanatics who raced against each other for a good cause. The winner was prized with a surprise award for the remarkable performance.
The carnival kicked off with the sunset and re-boosted the tired souls with an exuberant atmosphere full of vim and vigour. Vibrance carnival presented the adrenaline junkies with a stellar line up of performers such as Badinga, DJ Harsha, Pravin Jayasundere, Sanjula Botejue, Amuthu, UNYTED, Electronegative, Sam Dayaratne and Wagon Park. The carnival gave a thrilling experience of Ferris Wheels and other amazing games. The quality and the jollity of the night were elevated by the wide variety of food and drink that Vibrance 2017 had in store for the crowd. The young crowd danced to the delightful music and had a fun- filled experience throughout the night.
