From the beginning of 2017 - the year of the Golden Jubilee, D.S Senanayake College repeatedly astonished us with their extravagant festivity of walks, numerous herculean parades and breathtaking musicals. The gargantuan celebrations were unstoppable, as the two mighty giants of Senanayake events calendar: the creators of Psycho Parade and D.S Theewraa joint as one, to set yet another benchmark. The Ralphs - One Day Encounter was presented on 9th April 2017 as a day and night match against their opponent brothers of Mahanama at R. Premadasa Stadium from 1pm onwards.

The glamorously decorated Ralphs parasol was inundated by the Dons clad in Black and Gold manifesting unparallel DS glory. The rhythm of the event was fine-tuned by the boisterous beats of Saman and the Clans, Hot Chocolate, Chithral Somapala and the Clique's Residential DJ Clifford Issac. The sensational D.S Theewraa Crew engrossed the stadium with their captivating performance. Papare Music the indispensable in Lankan match culture kept the guys partying till dusk. Food and Beverages were at its best, with mouthwatering dishes of Norfolk Foods, Perera and Sons and MR Food saturating the otherwise insatiable gourmand Dons.
The tent of Ralphs was jam packed with a lavishing amount of about thousand Senanayakians with zest and zeal. The Ralphs which was organized from a very short period of 14 days can not only be marked as the most lit big match tent ever existed, but also as the ‘Tent of Unity’. As this would’ve only been a dream without the unity among the Dons and their love for the Alma Mater. Senanayakians once again proved to live by the words of their founding Principal Mr. R I T Alles “DS is love and the culture of ours is built on that love”. Let this unity develop into creating more miracles in the future as DS need no centuries in devising marvels.
