'20th REUNION - REMINISCING 1997', a gala dinner dance was organized in celebration of the class of 1997 of D. S. Senanayake College - Colombo 7 completing 20 years since leaving school. This memorable occasion was all about getting together after 20 years of leaving their Alma Mater in conjunction with the school's Golden Jubilee and was held in its grandeur style on the 15th of July 2017, at The Kingsbury.

The festive dinner dance was dazed with charismatically dressed ladies and appealingly suit up gentlemen. As D. S. Senanayake College celebrates its Golden Jubilee the dinner dance marked the highlight of the year for this cluster of prestigious, accomplished and selfless young men keeping true to its moto -“Country Before Self” who were molded and churned out by the college itself.

A night of total entertainment and surprises, it was with Sway Dancers’ opening dance act followed by toe tapping music from the most renowned party band Misty ably backed by DJ Bonnie. That was not all, without stopping at the conventional King and Queen of the night awards, the true talents of the Senanayakians were brought out by the solo dance competition which showed their knack for having the same fun as during school times. The best dressed lady, Baila dance couple and an interesting array of raffle draw prizes adorned the hands of the crowd.

This spectacular event was organized in grandeur where the hall was embellished in black and gold décor, lights dimmed to a deep gold and mouthwatering luscious food.

The event which went on till the wee hours was indeed the most glamourous and impressive reunion as promised by the ’97 Batch Dinner Dance Organizing Committee who struggled their sweat off to make this night a day to be remembered and cherished by the diverse variety of alumni who travelled from near and far.
