The canorous epitome of the soul's concordant vivacity 'Vivace 2017' was proudly presented by the Western Music Association of Ananda College on the 23rd of December 2017 at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre with the presence of a large crowd of music fanatics.
The canorous epitome of the soul's concordant vivacity 'Vivace 2017' was proudly presented by the Western Music Association of Ananda College on the 23rd of December 2017 at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre with the presence of a large crowd of music fanatics.
Vivace 2017 gave life to a Saturday evening full of musical extravaganza featuring some of Sri Lanka's all time favourite artists and the talents of youth. Western Music Association of Ananda College celebrated the eternal reality of sound, rhythm and melody which incorporated together can sway crowds by the thousands and inspire lives by the millions.
Umaria Sinhawansa, the youngest artist who had the honour of being selected to the "Best Singer Award" two years in a row was invited to perform as one of the featured artists for the night. She being undoubtedly one of the most unique voices in the country at present, gifted a mind-blowing performance to the Vivace crowd. The hip hop icon of Sri Lankan music Randhir Witana who started his career as a member of the first hip hop group in Sri Lanka the 'Brown Boogie Nation' and later collaborated with Bathiya and Santhush, lit up the Nelum Pokuna stage with his lively performance of singing a number of hit singles. The melodies of the revolutionary virtuoso in modern Sri Lankan music Kasun Kalhara soothed the souls of Vivace 2017 touching the very bits of feelings of the audience.
Vivace served as an arena which brought the hidden talent of the Anandians to light. The skills the youngsters comprised such as singing, rapping, beatboxing, playing instruments etc were molded into perfection and showcased at the amazing show.
