The 2nd annual SLRC organized by the E-Club of UoM was concluded successfully on the 13th of December, 2013. Although it is a field of study attracting many young minds, no stage had been provided for showcasing their talents till last year when the event was held for the first time nationally. SLRC attempts to fill this void and bring international attention to our budding engineers.
The competition was conducted and judged on three categories: Flying Dutchman, Black Pearl, Endeavour. Of these, the University category was the highlight as the winners would represent Sri Lanka in the ‘Techfest-International Robotics Challenge- 2014’ to be held in Mumbai, India.
The open category was newely introduced for this year's competition and provided a unique, real-world problem faced by Brandix in their production line and the solution that best meets the requirements would have the chance to be implemented in the actual production line.
The SLRC is currently the only large scale robotics competition in the country and will continue to set the stage for many more individuals to bring their innovative ideas to the local and international robotics audience.

13th of December 2013
