After months of preparation, many workshops around the country, two practice debates and a press conference - the 10th Session of Sri Lanka Model United Nations was ready to take flight.

14-21 year old MUNers from all over Sri Lanka and abroad gathered for 3 days of intense debate, discussion and diplomacy. Youth MUNers were engaged in diplomatic discussion focussed on current socio - economic and geo-political issues. SLMUN 2017 simulated 8 committees including the key committee: SL2027 and the journalism wing, International Press Corps.

Kicking off the historic conference with a glittering opening ceremony, SLMUN 2017 set the milestone for yet another generation of aspiring young leaders. The historic conference concluded with a Joint Session partnered with UNICEF Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Model United Nations - The 10th Session was held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September 2017 at BMICH, Colombo under the theme 'Engaging the Next Generation'.
