The South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) held its Fourth Convocation recognising its graduates from the 1st and 2nd MBBS batches of the Medical faculty and the graduates from the Faculty of ICT & Media and the Faculty of Management and Finance on 15th of November 2016 from 1.00pm onwards at the BMICH, Colombo.

The Chief Guest at the SAITM Convocation 2016 was distinguished Professor Sir Sabarathnam Arulkumaran, Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, St. George's University of London, U.K. and past President of British Medical Association, International Federation of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FIGO), Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG). SAITM established in 2009 and conferred as a Degree Awarding Institute in 2011, is recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
