The arrival of the month of celebration, united the academic staff and students of Horizon Campus to celebrate the dawn of a new Sinhala and Tamil New Year by organising 'kovul Wasanthaya 2018' which was held on the 06th of May 2018 from 8.30am onwards at the Horizon Campus premises.
The arrival of the month of celebration, united the academic staff and students of Horizon Campus to celebrate the dawn of a new Sinhala and Tamil New Year by organising 'Kovul Wasanthaya 2018' which was held on the 06th of May 2018 from 8.30am onwards at the Horizon Campus premises.
Students of all faculties dressed in glamorous traditional apparels crowded the university to feel the bliss of culture and locality. Ditching the usual sandwiches and pastries of lecture breaks, the dining tables were loaded with Sri Lankan plates of Milk rice and mouthwatering local sweets.
The Horizon Campus united together to participate in the unique New Year games and activities. A vast scheme of traditional games such as Tug-o-war, kanamutti Bidima, Olinda etc took place at various locations, lighting the Horizon Campus premises with much laughter and fun.
