Family Fiesta 2011 @ Kandy City Center

Kandy City center flashed up with the “Family Fiesta” on 24th Sept. 2011 which was organized by Kids 1st, News 1st and Youth 1st together. The program commenced around 9am with the arrival of the chief guests and the specialty was that they have parted separate times for kids, adults and youth. The morning was for kids. It started with a cute dance by a couple of kids and it was full with kids related programs by Sirasa tv, songs, kids fashion shows, drawing competitions and dancing items till noon. And the surrounding was filled with all the fun game huts. (Train rides, bouncers etc.) Kids were able to participate all the events and gifts were given to the winners too.Among all these the program “Super Star Chart Show” was presented live in the middle of a great cluster of fans. This was more adorned with Nalin de Silva from Sirasa Super Star Generation 2 and Michel Christine from Generation 4.
After 12 noon News 1st had arranged few fun events for the adult lot in the crowd. Musical chairs, Musical Hat and dancing events caught everyone’s eye. Here also the winners got fabulous gifts along with souvenirs for the participants. There were also the screen tests for the News 1st for those who were willing.
The evening was dedicated to the Youth 1st. Youth events began in parallel to the Youth First Fashion Show. Participants were informed to design their fashion out fits under the titles of Casual wear, Office wear, Saree and Evening wear. It was a surprise to see the international boxer Manju Wanniarachchai too was in the judge panel of this event. While the fashion show was going on, Sports 1st presented the program “Our Champions” with the Kandy Rugby team. After that the popular trend setter Iraj spiced up the evening with his music. The program came to an end with the prize giving of the Fashion show and some hits from the popular artist Lahiru Perera.
Entertainment programs like this do not come very often at Kandy. We all give our heartiest thanks for all those who organized this event to a maximum success.
