M Thurson de Silva (1st generation) made entry to the Tea industry in the year of 1936 as a planter, M. Hemasiri de Silva (2nd generation) who too was inspired by his father’s carrier in planting, he managed many large plantations which included “Stonycliff".
M. Lushantha de Silva (3rd generation), having initially worked in a few Tea Exporting companies, the time came to start his own, which is now amongst the top 5 leading exporters of tea in Ceylon, which is namely Empire Teas.
M. Sajeev de Silva (4th generation) who is an avid tea drinker and a taster sprung up with the idea of “Tea Avenue” sprang enhancing the opportunity for the Lankan tea fans to enjoy a cup of soothing, delectable tea at ease and leisure.
