The National Road to Rio+20 Campaign Sri Lanka presents...
“Earth Walk 2012”
The walk which is organized as a part of the mega campaign, aims at raising awareness concerning current global issues such as climate change, the energy crisis and sustainable development, especially among the youth of Sri Lanka, whilst enabling them to voice out their opinions and tell the world that change will take place at the Rio+20 Earth Summit.
The walk is scheduled for the 1st of April and will begin at the Police Park Grounds, Colombo at 8.30 am and will meet its final destination at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre, where several activities including mural painting by all participants and a band show will take place.
The band show will feature the following 5 emerging youth bands that are sure to keep you all entertained.
• Stranger
• Untitled
• Killfeed
• Rave
• Retarded Perfection
Furthermore, food stalls, fun activities and music to dance the morning away will be aplenty to ensure all you guys will have an amazing experience full of beautiful memories. This is indeed a great opportunity to meet with friends and have fun whilst making new friends who care about the world they live in.
