The year 2000... The year that the Broadcasting Unit of Ananda College created a new era of school based media introducing a brand new concept to the Sri Lankan media field...
A competition that brought all the announcers of Ceylon together giving them a chance to show their talent and to be recognized in the field...
It turned up as a lucrative concept and was spread through out the country and has been introducing the country's best announcers for 12 years...
and 2 years ago, in 2010, the aforesaid epic concept was crowned adding the words "all island" as it was held under the supervision of the Ministry of Mass Media and Information, lifting it up another notch in it's standard further proving it as the best competition in Sri Lanka...
The concept that inaugurated 12 years ago has come through a long journey of more than a decade maintaining its' high reputation and standards...
we are about to turn onto its' 13th chapter,
THE ALL ISLAND INTER SCHOOL ANNOUNCING COMPETITION 2012...!
