University of Moratuwa being the country's leading technological higher education institute, have been monumental in introducing cutting-edge technology to the local communities. Alongside with the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (ENTC), it has been a key partner in organizing the Sri Lankan leg of the robot competition for Techfest.
The E-Club of University of Moratuwa presents "Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge", a national robot competition, which enables the tech savvy youth of the country to demonstrate their skills in an international standard robotics competition. "Transformers", The university category competitions of The Sri Lankan Robotics Challenge ,held on 14th December 2012 was an immense success which showcased the extreme talents of Sri Lankan University population, in the field of Robotics .
