alt In the history of cricket, 21st of July 2011 will be a great, wonderful, unforgettable and very special day. Yeah on that day the test match between India and England going to be held. The 2000th test match in the history of world cricket.

The first test match was played in 1877. It was between Australia and England. Test match has 134 years of history. Today there are ten cricketing test nations, and test cricket is widely regarded as the ultimate measure of ability, ‘testing’ the strength of the best cricketing teams in the world. There are many things which are very grateful and fresh that we can’t forget in those years. So here we shall look at some of those events which are very special.

Ashes The first test match between England and Australia in 1877 and success of the match led to the born of Ashes test series. The first test match was won by Australia, beating the England by 45 runs difference.

In 1882 Again Australia beat England just by 7 runs difference at The Oval in which Australia beat England on an English ground for the first time. The obituary stated that English cricket had died, and the body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia.

This is the reason to the name of Ashes series.

1n 1948 Australia set new standards, completely outplaying their hosts to win 4–0 with one draw. This Australian team, led by Bradman, who turned 40 during his final tour of England.

The first test match which was drawn in the history of test match is, the match between Australia and West Indies in Melbourne. Australia scored 232 for the target of 233. So the match was drawn. An amazing run out was made in this test match by West Indians.

In 1960 West Indies kicked down the England team. They won the test match by 260 runs difference.

In the 100th birthday of test cricket, a miracle happened. There was a match between Australia and England same as in 1877 and Australia won by 45 runs.

In 1981 England stamped a great victory. At first they struggled but at last they beat Australia very powerfully. The condition of Australia was very pathetic.

In 1984 England fixed a target of 342 for West Indies. W.I reached the target in 5 and ½ hour and the won the match.

India put a full stop for the dominance of Australia in test cricket in 2001. And in 2008 South Africans stopped the continuous victory of Australia in their home ground. These are the big trouble for the Australian team.
